Nemo Alti Storm

Nemo Alti Storm 2p and 3P

The Nemo Alti Storm Tent is one to consider if you are looking for 4 season protection in a tent that is lightweight and functional. The Nemo Alti Storm comes in both a 2 person and a 3 person size. The Nemo Alti Storm tents are descendants of the Nemo Losi series of tents which are a 3 season variety, but the Nemo Alti Storm have much heavier duty frames and more enclosed canopies to take you through the tougher elements of winter.

Overall,

the Nemo Alti Storm is one of the best tents for camping in our opinion if you are looking for a great 4 season tent. If you don’t intend to do any camping in the wintertime, then don’t spend the money as there are a lot of alternatives to the Nemo Alti Storm for 3 season camping needs.

The Nemo Alti Storms tent ridge poles go all the way to the ground giving the structure of the tent more support and protection from high winds. The inner tent canopy is a breathable ripstop material that will block out driven wind, sand and snow. There is a full coverage fly, large vestibules for storing your gear and deployable vents.

All of the exterior anchors, guyouts and zippers are reflective so that they can be spotted easily with your lamp. There are light pockets built into the tent that provide an easy way to light up the interior of the tent.

The Nemo Alti Storm comes with DAC featherlite NSL poles, roll up style stuff sacks, a repair kit and stakes. All in all this is a fairly heavy duty yet lightweight tent. The packed weight of the Nemo Alti Storm
2p comes in at 9lb, 6 oz while the packed weight of the Nemo Alti Storm 3p comes in at a packed weight of 11lb, 14oz. Leaving out the roll up stuff sacks saves you about a pound in weight.

Nemo is a company well known for their innovations and high level designs when it comes to outdoor camping products. Fact is some of the US Special Forces including the Navy Seals use Nemo products.  You cannot beat a reputation like that. All things considered, for a 4 season backpack tent you can’t do much better than the Nemo Alti Storm.

What The Reviews and Owners Are Saying About The Nemo Alti Storm

Reviews from  owners and reviews from magazines such as Outside Magazine and Backpacker Magazine have been very favorable. Here are some of the comments paraphrased for space.

“The Verdict: Bring on the blizzard” …….from Outside Magazine

“Pros: Windproof; Easy To Setup; Lightweight; Comfortable; Fly Works Well; Sturdy; Bombproof; Waterproof. Cons: Collects Condensation
Here it is. the creme de la creme. I love this tent so much that I kind of feel awkward talking about it. This is the culmination of everything genius that Nemo has done. from the Pole technology to the frame structure this baby was built for an onslaught, I would worry about the mountain blowing away before this tent breaks a sweat. just sayin… If you can only afford one tent, get the one that will see you through any situation”…from B.

“Pros: Easy To Setup, Cons: New Brand. I know there is a LOT of reluctance to go with a new brand, but still … This one is awesome. They seem to specialize in ultralight materials and what-not. Otherwise, wow. Finally a tent maker that takes usability seriously. Since I am more of a minimalist, I tend to consider usability higher than comfort”………..from O.
